This lighthouse was manufactured in 1883 and located in Hydra's Island. The altitude of tower is 10 m and the height of focal plane is 36 metres. It was destroyed by German in 2nd world war and rebuilded in 1946.The light first worked with petroleum.On 1986 the light supplied with electric power and operated as warded until 1989 when it completely automated. The place is rocky and innaccessible from the land. Easternly the lighthouse is found the historical monastery of Saint Annis. |
