LIGHTHOUSE GAIDURONISI

This lighthouse established in 1834 and was manufactured by the French company of lighthouses. The altitude of his cylindric tower is 29 metres and the height of focal plane is 68 metres. Located in Gaiduronisi Island, a very small unpopulated island in the entrance of the Port Of Hermoupolis (Syros Isl). Included in the Greek lighthouses network afterwards the Balkan Wars the 1912-13. Part of lighthouse it was destroyed at the 2nd W.W. In 1948 it has been repaired and transmits 1 white flash every 2 minutes showing the entrance of the port. Is the oldest and simultaneously taller lighthouse of Greek lighthouses network.
